News Framing Analysis

News framing analysis is a research method in which the researcher analyzes sources of news (such as newspapers or TV broadcasts) in order to determine the similarities and difference in how news events are represented.

I completed two news framing analyses during my Qualitative Research Methods at Georgetown University. The first compares the coverage of Olympic gymnastics from NBC and BBC. The seconds compares the newspaper coverage of a tragic event from the local, state, national and international perspectives.
