Always considered a strong writer, I have worked to expand my communication skills through higher education and during my early career. After earning my MA at Georgetown University and working in online advertising, technical writing, and marketing in the Washington DC area, including over three years with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), I then took a risk and moved to New York. I most recently served as Content Director and Deputy Program Manager on a brand new project to create a contemporary website for the United States Military Academy at West Point, including design, development and content. Unfortunately, this risk did not pay off as my government contract position was defunded. However, I hope to take the experience I gained at West Point and DHS and bring my skills and passions to another exciting project and/or organization in the public or private sectors in the New York City area.
I have created this digital portfolio to highlight my skills as a communicator ranging from academic research papers and multi-media projects to professional writing samples.
